June 12, 2003- Julia is a Star !!!
- Julia's first fight was against Cyprus. She won and got her full page photo in the sports
paper "Metro Sport" Greece 13/6/2003. She went on to fight against Greece and in one of
the most thrilling matches of the tournament won praise internationally. She was the only female
from the Australian Team to reach the second round.
- Julia was also a member of the silver-medal-winning Australian Female
Power/Special Techniques Team. It was a wonderful effert, and there was great unity shown in the
Australian team.
Fantastic work, Julia - you've made USMA Taekwon-Do very proud !!

- Julia and Spiro were privileged to see the Korean National Demonstration Team - they were only metres away
from an amazing display.
- Sabum Jamie Moore, Sabum Tam Foo Chee and Sabum Spiro Cariotis took part in the ITF congress. At this congress,
Master Leong Wai Meng of Melbourne, Australia was promoted to Grand Master (9th Degree ).
- During an emotional memorial ceremony for the 1st anniversary of the passing of the Father of
Taekwon-Do General Choi Hong Hi.The President of the Greek Taekwon-Do Federation announced
contact with Master Choi Jung Hwa who could possibly return to our Taekwon-Do Family.
- On arrival back in Melbourne, Sabum Spiro Cariotis will contact Victorian ITF instuctors to organise a
Victorian championship, paving the way to our members' participation and challenge in World Events
- 2004 Junior World Titles in Malaysia and 2005 Senior World Championships in Australia.
Australia Has won the Bid for the 14th world championships to be held in Australia 2005.
