Mixed Taekwondo Classes

Our Mixed Classes bring together students of all ages and belt levels in a friendly, supportive, and inclusive training environment.

Held on Saturday mornings at 10:00am and Thursday evenings at 6:00pm, these classes are a great opportunity for:

  • families to train together
  • students to learn from different experience levels
  • building a strong sense of community within the dojang

One of the biggest strengths of these sessions is the mix of beginners, junior belts, senior belts, and black belts all training side by side.

This creates an environment where:

  • less experienced students can learn by observing and working with higher belts
  • confidence builds naturally through shared training
  • everyone feels part of the same journey

Our black belt students play an important role in these classes. They are approachable, supportive, and always willing to help guide others through techniques and training. This helps create a positive atmosphere where students feel comfortable asking questions and improving at their own pace.

Training in these sessions is still structured and purposeful. Depending on the class, students may work on:

  • practical self-defence
  • bag work and striking drills
  • fundamental techniques and movement
  • partner exercises and controlled application

This variety keeps training engaging while continuing to develop real skills across all levels.

Mixed Classes are also ideal for parents who want to train alongside their children. It’s a great way to:

  • stay active together
  • support your child’s progress
  • share a common goal and experience

The overall feel is welcoming and community-focused, while still maintaining the structure and standards of Taekwondo training. Whether you’re just starting or already progressing through the ranks, Mixed Classes are a valuable and enjoyable part of training at USMA Taekwondo.
